DAY 3: Gambassi Terme to San Gimignano

This stage runs on dirt roads for almost the entire route. It passes through hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see and leads to San Gimigniano, one of the most charming villages of Tuscany.
With its 15 towers, San Gimignano is surrounded by 13th-century walls.
This village appears even more fascinating when reached from the Francigena.
Normally you arrive at destination around lunchtime,
and you can decide where to stop and eat.
The afternoon is devoted to visiting the village.
PLEASE NOTE: ice cream from the 1st World Prize winning ice cream shop is INCLUDED,
take the time to enjoy it while walking through the small streets of the village

Another beautiful 14-kilometer stage through the hills that produce the famous Vernaccia wine.
Save your energy because on arrival you will enter the River Park of Val d’Elsa.
A trail that follows the river and transports you to an enchanted valley.
The afternoon is dedicated to resting or visiting the village.

Get ready for a journey through time. Also today if you want you can bathe in the Caldane Roman Etruscan Baths. Don’t forget your bathing suit.
The route through the Tuscan countryside is very easy, mostly flat, with the arrival at the enchanting Monteriggioni. Entering the gateway to Monteriggioni will feel like you are traveling through time, leaving behind today and encountering the previous millennium.

Here we are on the last day of the walk. Have you ever heard of the Siena Land color? It is the color that predominates throughout today, and one that you will never forget!
A stage of paths that transport you to the beautiful city of Siena, and its very famous Piazza del Campo, the Palio Square where this walk that began 5 days ago ends.
How many photos will you take upon arrival? We don’t know but we bet there will be a lot along with your adventure friends.
