Walk the Via Francigena in good company

We take care of everything!

Via Francigena Walking is a very intense walking  trip, with many miles of walking and tiring days.

A highly variable route, with easier and shorter stages, and others with decent climbs and descents.

The route is very well marked and has no objective difficulties.

Assistance along the way if you don’t want to walk we will take you to your next hotel.

Siena to Monteroni d’Arbia
Distance to Cover: 18 Km
Walk Time: 4/5 hours

After a short walk inside Siena, you walk the white roads of the Val d’Arbia.

Next you enter the Crete Senesi, whose name comes from the clay (creta), which is found in the soil and gives the landscape a characteristic gray-blue color.

Assistance along the way if you don’t want to walk we will take you to your next hotel.

Via Francigena - Step Siena to Monteroni d'Arbia

DAY 3

Monteroni d’Arbia to Buonconvento
Distance to Cover: 13 Km
Walk Time: 3/4 hours

After an initial flat stretch, climb the hills, on paths lined with beautiful cypress trees, and reach Buonconvento.

It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

I recommend visiting the corso where the clock tower is located, while on the facade of the town hall you can still see the 25 coats of arms of the as many Podestas who ruled Buonconvento until 1270.

Perhaps the most challenging stage.

For the final climb that takes you up to an altitude of 780mt. It is a challenging uphill section that leads up to the Fortezza di Gino di Tacco, one of the highest in Tuscany, overlooking the Val d’Orcia.

This time the stage begins with a descent of 8 kilometers that takes you to Ponte a Rigo.

You cannot miss then a visit to the lakefront and the Ferris wheel.

Day 9

If you want, before tackling the stage, you can visit the Basilica of the Blessed Sacrament, one of the most important in Lazio.

DAY 10

Montefiascone to Viterbo
Distance to Cover: 18 Km

The first part of the stage will allow you to walk like the ancient Romans, on the ancient paving of the Via Cassia, which is still in excellent condition.

You will pass through a hilly route, which offers special views of Viterbo and Montefiascone.

The city of Viterbo is of Etruscan origin, and has a vast medieval historic center.
Particularly the San Pellegrino district, which is still well preserved and has almost perfectly preserved walls.
